Rank Up:
This is a basic task for anyone to achieve, for the normal ranks (not captain/vice captain, Espada, or kingdom guard). All a character needs to do is fill out the code below and then send it to staff, they will discus it among themselves and then get back to you. This can take a while, so please do not rush us. If we take longer than a week feel free to send a single PM to higher staff.
Note: You only do this when you want to rank up, not when making your application. You can start off at any rank you wish, but if you start low and work your way up you will be stronger than someone that starts at the top.

Remember, all ranks up are saved and posted in the staff area along with a characters starting rank. This way we can trace what rank your character should be.

Any Espada can become the Zero Espada, staff will ask you not vice versa.
When [Equivalent] is listed, that means although you may have the same power as a captain of a same rank, the position may already be filled, so you will have to suffice with another title or take a position as a lieutenant or Captain in another division. Kenpachi is a good example of this. He had the power of a Captain and by defeating the previous captain; he took the rank by force.
This is also possible within the forum, kill the captain before you this will allow you to take their spot. A captain can only deny a challenge upon IC/OOC grounds, a captain can only deny one challenge per month, reason must be given to admin. A person cannot challenge more than one person once per month.

Rank Up Bonuses:
Every time a Player gains a new rank, their character receives a Normal Stat Increase, which is +3 to all stats, and then an addition 1 point as a freebie to place where you like. This may be different at certain points for Mortals and Arrancar, who get an extra amount of stats at levels 5, 10, 15 and 20.
Recap:
- When player ‘Ranks Up’ they gain +3 Stats to every Attribute and +1 Free Point per rank they gain. Mortals and Hollows / Arrancar gain extra stats at Ranks 5, 10, 15 and 20.

Reading Stats:
If you are at least six points higher than someone, you're a bit better than them... so you could get away with slightly outdoing them. Now if you're eleven points or higher, you are capable of fighting a whole level ahead of them... think Yoruichi messing with Byakuya. If you're twenty-one points or higher, you literally can just decimate your opponent without much effort, captain fighting a 5th seat.
Recap:
- If you're six points or higher above your opponent, you hold a slight advantage in that Attributed Field.
-If you're eleven points or higher above your opponent, you hold the distinct advantage in that Attributed Field.
- If you're twenty-one points or higher above your opponent, you hold the absolute advantage in that Attributed Field.

Shikai Development:
Shikai becomes available to players at Rank 5, but training and preparation for the Shikai can occur as soon as Rank 3. Although the power will not be able to be used, the character can discover the manifestation of their Zanpakutou and rest in their inner world, training to release it. When Rank 5 comes about, the Character can post the first release of their Shikai (Staff can deny you Shikai on IC/OOC grounds).
When a Shinigami reaches Rank 10 the Shikai grows more powerful as the character comes to understand their blade better. For each spurt of growth, the character gains an extra ability or attack for their Shikai.
Recap:
- Training for Shikai can occur at Rank 3. Shikai can not be used until Rank 5. Gain one special ability at use. At Ranks 10 Shikai gains another ability and grows stronger.
- Staff can deny a character Shikai on IC/OOC grounds.

Resurrection and Bankai:
Shinigami and Arrancar differ in their powers by one simple factor. The Arrancar get their powers earlier, but develop over time. Shinigami have to wait for their Bankai, but gain large amounts of power in ‘growth spurts.’ Shinigami may train for their Bankai as early as rank 13, and several of their posts must be centered on training for that power. When rank 15 is achieved, the Character can use their Bankai, with the Staffs’ acceptance, and will gain a new ability at rank 20.
Arrancar are slightly different. They gain their resurrection at Rank 15, but it starts at a very low bonus to stats. Every rank after that, the resurrection gains power along with the Arrancar, until it tops out at Rank 20. Although training for the resurrection can occur at Rank 13 and 14, it is not needed past that point and just grows with the character.

Second Resurrection :
Arrancar have a power within them that the shinigami do not, allowing for a second release. Yet this power is so great that only the top four Espada get it, yet even they have a low chance of having it (you do NOT start off with it). When a character gains this, they are awarded it via good plotting, RPing or the character doing something great. Depending on the rank the power will allow the Espada member to do different things.
- 4th Espada- With the second release they will gain a bonus +2 on all their stats, along with one minor power (slightly faster regeneration etc).
- 3rd Espada- With the second release they will gain a bonus +3 on all their stats, along with two minor powers (slightly faster regeneration etc).
- 2nd Espada- With the second release they will gain a bonus +4 on all their stats, along with two minor powers (slightly faster regeneration etc). They will also gain one large power (such as a powerful cero or defensive power).
- 1st Espada- With the second release they will gain a bonus +5 on all their stats, along with two minor powers (slightly faster regeneration etc). They will also gain two large powers (such as a powerful cero or defensive power).
