»Velitation«The world is at war. The world has fallen into a state of self destruction, countries are at war and most everything has all but been destroyed. The cause of the conflict is long forgotten, with it having started generations ago it has now simply become part of life. In this struggle though countries have long since looked for a weapon that can give them the upper hand in matters, from nuclear weapons, to contamination of foods, everything has been tried. Regardless of this though nothing proved to be effective, that is until a scientist who was both mad and brilliant in his theories came up with an idea, fictional characters from the old shows that were aired before the war began. At first his idea was shunned as impossible, nothing more than a deluded dream, but as things started to get worse his idea was quickly put into play. Once started it was soon found that in fact the fictional characters could be brought into the real world, and so some were. These first individuals had various tests done upon them, ones that would both hopefully augment their powers and control them. It failed. The characters proved to have far stronger wills than previously considered, they showed traits more like that of living beings than fictional creations. Stunned the scientists were powerless to stop the characters as the building was destroyed, along with the machine that caused the rift in reality. Of course it should have ended here, that should have been everything completed, yet it wasn't. When the machine broke it inadvertently made a rift within the very fabric of the world, one that caused characters to be randomly pulled from their own worlds. Now fictional characters are popping up everywhere, bemused and left to try and find a reason, and also a way home. With all this disturbance though the government that agreed to the experiments have become aware of this, and now they want the characters for their own use in the war. They have sent out crack military teams to round up the individuals, those unlucky enough to be caught are quickly hauled off to various laboratories to have numerous experiments exacted upon them whilst the humans of this world desperately search for a way to harness the character's powers so that perhaps they may end the war. Of course the strangers to this world are not comping easily, they are doing everything within their power to prevent their capture, and also find a way back.
